And they offer you a deal—your puny human soul in exchange for the opportunity to grasp at something eternal. The deal takes the shape of a strange arcane tool that you can wield to shape reality to your whim—a paintbrush, a sword, a spellbook, a pipe, a really long gnarly stick...the possibilities are endless.
